Canon ZR200 Won't charger batteries!?

So I plugged my digital camera into the wall with batteries in it and nothing happened. The little red light that flashes when being charge doesn't even flash. The only way the camera will turn on is if it is plugged in to the wall with the wall charger plugged into it. When I unplug it, it doesnt work at all. The camera isn't broken, it just isent charging the batteries. I have two batteries and neither work...Please help! I love my camera!!!!
