Why does my cat lay on his back?

Lol .. ur cat lays on his back because that is how he sleeps. He feels safe.. My cat lays different ways.. and when she lays on her back i scratch her stomache.. Its a good thing :P Lol xD .. and my cat kneeds to .. but I dont no what there doing.. but i think its normal. :P o.O .. xD lol
