I'm having problems with my Windows Vista internet connection....Help?

For some reason, the internet on my laptop won't work. I'm connected to my brother's computer and stuff, but the internet won't work anymore. It said something about a network cable or adapter being unplugged. Our laptop is wireless, and it never needed a "plug" or anything to work before....Could you please help? I would really appreciate it!
